Conclusion

Instead of using inside human spies, the US had began to use satellite systems and other aerial reconniassance systems(such as ocean surveillance, aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles).  However, they produced large amounts of invaluable data, and did not provide all the intelligence information desired by military commanders.  They could not provide full views of the battlefields, locate mobile scuds, provide bomb damage assessment or provide imagery intelligence very quickly.

Operation Desert Storm occured in 1990-91.  Most of it occured between the US(George Bush Sr.) and Iraq(Saddam Hussein).  The US was forced to start the war after Iraqi Republican Guards invaded and took over Kuwait.  On August 7, 1990, deployment of US soldiers began.  January 17, 1991, American air-attacks were started.  February 24, 1991, US ground forces began their attack.  February 27, Kuwait was declared liberated.
